When Anxiety Starts Taking Over

Many people arrive at therapy after realizing anxiety has quietly begun shaping their lives.

You may recognize experiences like:

Avoiding situations that once felt manageable

Struggling to calm your mind even when nothing is immediately wrong

Holding yourself to extremely high standards that increase stress

Feeling stuck between wanting change and not knowing how to begin

Anxiety can be exhausting, but it does not have to remain in control.

Experience That Shapes the Work

Lucia’s background includes years of work in educational settings supporting students with learning differences and ADHD at schools such as The Lewis School of Princeton and Newgrange School.

She was also a founding member and long-time school counselor at The Bridge Academy, where she supported students for over a decade. This work deeply informed her understanding of the connection between anxiety, self-esteem, and learning differences, and ultimately shaped her decision to focus her practice on anxiety treatment.

A Cross-Cultural Perspective

Lucia brings a strong cross-cultural lens to therapy. She has lived in England and France and traveled extensively throughout Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.

In New Jersey, she works closely with immigrants and first-generation Americans, helping individuals explore how anxiety can emerge from cultural transitions, identity stress, and value conflicts.
